Sunday, March 16th, 4 PM, Salyards Center for the Arts
A dynamic performance by internationally renowned pianist, Frank
Glazer will be presented. The 93-year-old Glazer, has been an
artist in residence at Bates since 1980. Referring to his career
spanning many decades, Glazer, the elder statesman of the keyboard,
states: “I’ve worked all my life to get to this point,
where I like the sounds I hear, I can do things on the piano I
couldn’t do before. Now is not the time to quit!”
The March 16th audience will not only have the privilege of hearing
a program including J.S. Bach, Franz Schubert and Frederic Chopin,
but will be present at the debut performance of a completely re-built
and renovated grand piano recently put in place at the Salyards
Center for the Arts as a result of a grant by the Goldberg Foundation.

White Mountain Musical Art’s purpose in presenting live musical
performances throughout the year is to awaken contemporary audiences
to the vitality of 17th - 20th century music through historically
informed performance of both familiar and unknown works. We hope through
live performances, and educational programs to foster an awareness
and appreciation of this music creating a cultural experience both
for the immediate Mt. Washington Valley community and for the greater
population of New Hampshire’s “North Country”.
